Aqueous Coating

Good afternoon, it’s been a busy week and it has been a relief to see business picking up. We have become so busy that a local Dallas client needs their piece by this upcoming Friday and we are having difficulty in finding a position for it on press. The job requires a lot of work after it’s printed. We will address and mail the piece once complete on Friday since we are a mailhouse in Dallas, TX. My main concern is that we will not be able to run this on the 5 color Heidelberg Speedmaster with inline aqueous coater since it is booked solid. The client’s piece has a solid blue and as many in the industry know, this can be the most difficult color when it comes to drying. We will be placing it on the 4 color Heidelberg 40″.

Aqueous coating is not only used for protection of the sheet after it’s printed, but it also beautifies the end piece as well as assisting in drying time. I have made the client fully aware of the potential issues. The Odee Company is a green printer in Dallas, TX dual certified FSC and SFI as well as CarbonFree. When it comes to aqueous coating I do prefer the satin finish but we can also provide gloss.

Always remember, even the Incredible Hulk is GREEN!!
